Activating Your Keyword/Phrase Bids

Currently***, we are a "self-policing" site here at Time4me. What does this mean to you if you are a bid account holder?

First the good news: it means your keyword/phrase bids become active immediately. You won't have to wait up to a week or more for your bids to become active on our search engine.

Second: it means you are expected to act with integrity when choosing your keywords/phrases and creating your Title(s)/Descriptions(s) to ensure they are relevant to your URL site content. In other words, you must "police" yourself when bidding on keywords/phrases and ensure you are not misleading searchers 'nor misrepresenting your site's content in your Title and/or Description.

Third the bad news: it also means you are fully responsible and liable for your ads (Title/Description/URL) on this site. If a searcher using our site sends in a complaint regarding results for a search they performed on our site which links to your bid or if a moderater discovers your bids do not meet our Terms & Conditions, you could be in danger of losing your bid account. This part can be better explained in the details below on "How we moderate our site."

How We Moderate Our Site

Currently*** we moderate keyword/phrase accounts on a random basis. Several accounts, selected at random, are reviewed daily to ensure keywords/phrases match the Title/Description provided by the bidder and URL's are checked to make sure they match the Title/Description applied.

If a keyword/phrase bid does not meet with our relevance guidelines, a "Keyword Relevance Alert" e-mail is sent out to the owner of the bid account providing details of why their bid does not meet our guidelines and containing helpful tips on how the bidder can correct the problem.

The owner of the bid account is given a specified period of time to correct the problem, during which time his/her bid account is closely monitored. If the problem is not corrected within this period a second Alert is sent out to remind the bidder of his/her obligations to meet our relevance guidelines.

Should the owner of the bid account fail to respond to our "Keyword Relevance Alert" messages, he/she is in danger of having his/her account disabled. This means it may be temporarily de-activated -- or -- for more serious infractions, it may be permanently disabled.

In extremely rare cases our moderaters may delete a bid (not the entire account) prior to sending out a "Keyword Relevance Alert". If, for example, our moderater finds your keyword/phrase bid is totally unrelated to the Title/Description/URL Content, he/she may decide to immediately delete the bid. In any case a "Keyword Relevance Warning" notice as to why the bid was deleted from our search engine will be sent. Please be careful not to abuse our "self-policing" policy. Too many Warning notices could result in your bid account being permanently disabled.

Please Note: When a bid account is permanently disabled by a moderater here at Time4me it will not be re-opened. As only one account is allowed per individual, this could mean being banned from any future keyword/phrase bidding and could also result in restrictions of access to other areas and/or advertising opportunities on all of our sites.

General Terms & Conditions

Our goal in setting all Terms and Conditions is to provide quality results for our searchers and quality traffic for your site(s). Following our Terms and Conditions will result in a better experience for customers reaching your site through our search engine and potentially improve your click-through/conversion ratios. For additional help in choosing your keywords/phrases you may wish to review our Pay-Per-Click Search Engine Tips.

Minimum Bids start at US$.01/click. In many cases this means you could be paying as little as a penny for each highly targeted unique visitor from our site.

Minimum Deposit is US$25.00. Please Note: All deposits are non-refundable so PLEASE be sure to read our terms and conditions thoroughly. Failure to comply with our terms and conditions could result in your account being temporarily or permanently disabled - with no refund for any/all funds deposited.

Site URL Must Be Operational. In addition to being operational, your site URL must work in both Netscape AND Internet Explorer. You can easily verify this by testing your pages first, or if you do not have both browser types there are several online sites which can help you (such as AnyBrowser.com).

Only One Bid Account Per Individual. Our Search Engine default settings only allow for one bid account per individual. If you are a pay-per-click optimization business which manually manages keyword bids for customer accounts, please contact us for assistance in setting up a premium business account.

Keyword/Phrase Relevance - Popular Keyword/Phrase Bids: We moderate popular keyword/phrase bids closely. Examples of popular keywords/phrases are: Entertainment, Shopping, Travel, Health, Computing, etc. If you choose to bid on a "general" term such as any one of these your site content should provide a wide variety relating to the term.

Example: If you choose the keyword Health but your URL leads to an article on Infant Colic please choose more relevant search terms such as "infant colic", or "colic", or "colic in newborns". For the keyword "Health" your URL should lead to a site with a wide range of subjects relevant to "Health".

Keyword/Phrase Relevance - Descriptions: All keywords/phrases you bid on must appear in your Description tag for your URL. Keep in mind, our maximum Title length is set to 55 characters and our Description length is set to 250 characters. Exception: if you choose to take advantage of mispellings you can place the correct spelling of the keyword in your description so long as it closely matches the misspelled keyword you bid on. (Example -- If you choose to bid on the phrase "golf glubs" for possible misspellings of the phrase "golf clubs", you need only use the term "golf clubs" in your description.)

All Moderater Decisions Are Final: Our moderaters do their best to give you ample time to make changes (if required) to your keyword/phrase bids. If you choose to abuse our "self-policing" policy and a moderater makes the decision to disable your bid account as a result, we stand behind their decision. If your account is permanently disabled - YOU WILL RECEIVE NO REFUND for any funds remaining in your account.

Special Terms & Conditions
Gambling Sites and Related Content Sites

Does your site meet our criteria for what we consider "Gambling Sites and Related Content Sites"? If your site accepts wagers or requires payment in exchange for a chance to win cash or prizes then it is considered a gambling site by us. If your site provides links or information relating mainly to gambling (for example - an information site about "how to beat the odds on slot machines" or a site providing descriptions and links to online casino's) then it is considered a gambling site by us.

We have special conditions which apply specifically to Gambling Sites. First, you must bid on keywords/phrases which clearly indicate you're URL points to a Gambling Site (examples for gambling sites: "casino" "blackjack", "poker", "slots" -- examples for gambling related content sites: "top 10 casino's", "blackjack tips", "playing poker to win", "beat the odds on slots")

In addition to selecting appropriate keywords/phrases we require all gambling site bidders to prominently display their chosen keyword/phrase in the Title for their URL and in the content Description for their URL (which, of course, must match the content of their site).

One more condition - the word "free" may not be used by any gambling site bidders. Not in the keywords/phrases bid on, 'nor their Title, 'nor in their Description.

Special Terms & Conditions
Adult Content Sites

Does your site meet our criteria for what we consider adult content? If your URL (site) contains any sexual or erotic content - graphical or verbal (including text and audio) then it is considered by us to be Adult Content. If your URL (site) does not contain sexual or erotic content but DOES contain links directly to sexual or erotic content (and/or pop-up windows leading directly to sexual or erotic content) then your URL is considered by us to be Adult Content.

Before placing your keyword/phrase bids, please be very sure whether or not your site falls into the Adult Content category. If in doubt, please contact us first before opening a bidding account at Time4me. Remember: if your bidding account is suspended you will not have any further opportunity to open another bid account on our sites.

We have extremely strict rules regarding any keyword bid listings for adult content, including a set of limited keywords/phrases which we believe clearly represent adult content. Any individuals wishing to bid on keywords/phrases for URL's containing and/or linking to adult content may only bid on terms in our Pre-Approved Adult Content Keywords/Phrases listing. To receive a copy of this listing, please submit a request using our Contact page.

One more condition - the word "free" may not be used by any adult content site bidders. Not in the keywords/phrases bid on, 'nor in their Title, 'nor in their Description.

Webmaster's Comments: "For the record, I don't like adult content sites. Since I am a moderater for this site as well as the web designer, please be aware any violators of our 'Special Terms and Conditions - Adult Content Sites' will have their account immediately suspended with NO REFUND and no further opportunity to open/re-open a bid account on Time4me as long as I work here."

*** We truly would like to keep our site "self-policing" in regards to keyword bid accounts, however if we find this policy is being abused too much we will switch to an "approval" system. This method would most definitely result in delays for bids being listed as all bids would then require approval prior to being activated.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold Time4me harmless from and against any liability or claims to which it is exposed as a result of your use of this service, including, but not limited to, claims that your use constitutes infringement of a third party's intellectual property.

Time4me neither sanctions nor permits the use of this service for sites containing content or transmitting data that contains illegal or obscene material or fosters or promotes illegal activity. Time4me reserves the right to immediately suspend or terminate any site or transmission that violates this policy, without prior notice. In the event of such termination, you agree that the unused portion of any fees you may have paid for any services rendered to you by Time4me are an appropriate recompense to Time4me for the time required to respond to and address issues created by your illegal site/content, and you agree not to seek recovery of those fees. Further, should you violate this policy, Time4me will actively assist and cooperate with law enforcement agencies and government authorities in collecting and tendering information about you, your site, the illegal content, and those persons that may have inappropriately accessed, acquired, or used the illegal content.

Time4me makes no endorsements or guarantees of any kind concerning the quality, safety or suitability of this service, either express or implied, including without limitation, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. Further, Time4me makes no endorsements or guarantees as to the truth, accuracy or completeness of any statements, information or materials listed on this service. In no event will Time4me be liable for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental, consequential, or lost profits damages however they may arise from anyone's use of this service, even if Time4me has been previously advised of the possibility of such damages. Such damages, or claims of damages should be directed to the appropriate bidder and not to Time4me. Also Note: It is the end user's responsibility to perform virus scans on any downloaded content, and Time4me disclaims any liability for any viruses that may be found in downloaded content.

Time4me reserves the right to immediately remove or disable access to any account that violates the above policies, terms, and conditions. You expressly waive any claims you may have against Time4me resulting from its termination or suspension of your account for violation of any Terms and Conditions listed herein.
