1. Make a list of everything that you LOVE to do. List your hobbies, your interests, your entertainment, everything. Take a good 20-40 minutes and make notes of what gets your juices flowing. 2. Make a list of everything that you HATE to do. Do you hate paperwork? Write it down? Are you a people person, or do you hate sales or maybe customer service? If you hate doing something, chances are you will resent it and your home business will suffer. If you are going to work at home, make sure its doing things you love, not things you hate.

3. Take your "I hate it" list and break everything into groups. Do you realize that if you hate selling and customer service there are people who love it? You can outsource it now thanks to the internet. If you search for freelance on a major search engine you will be amazed. You can freelance every aspect of your home-based business that you don't want to do. This will help you sleep at night. Remember, to work at home successfully, it MUST be fun!

4. Brainstorm a new list of ideas from your "I love it" list. Dream up ways to turn your hobby into a marketable thing. Do you love making home-made chili? You can sell your recipe thanks to online auctions. Don't ask anyone else for ideas yet. They may be negative and try to squash your dream.

5. Once you have a list of things you love to do, and some creative brainstormed ideas around that list, it's time to build your Mastermind Team. 6. Use the internet to research ways of getting your idea out there. Besides online auctions there is network marketing, direct marketing, mail order, party plans, sales agents and more. Bounce your research off of your Mastermind Team. Leverage their life experiences. The greatest part of having a Team is once the creative juices start flowing, brand new ideas often pop up. Who else is doing what you want to do? Find potential competitors and make friends with them. There's room for everyone!

7. Write everything down. One of the most important things to remember is that if you are going to work at home, you'll need to be organized. Keep lists of everything. If you are good on the computer, use it. If you aren't, keep an old notebook or diary handy at all times. With time presssure, family pressures, and the general chaos of daily life, you will find that you will forget important things if you don't track it. Leave nothing to chance. Use a calendar to track your time, and an organizer to keep you on track.

8. Beware the poison people. People who work at home tend to value their time more than people who work at a 9 to 5 job. Become aware of people who try to steal your valuable time. Watch out for people who are negative or try to put you down. You are choosing a path that scares a lot of people who settle for the steady, repetitive numbing comfort of a job.

Thanks to the internet you can often buy books, e-books, courses and conference calls on subjects to learn a lot about them before investing your time and money.
